The creation : 1910
Hans and Rosalie Reuteler were intelligent visionaries.
In 1904, when they heard that the railway was coming to Gstaad, they understood that their village would become one of the most desired resorts in the world.
The Park Hotel opened its doors in 1910, offering 53 rooms and rare equipment: an elevator, central heating and electricity.
With the addition of exemplary service, they soon attracted a clientele of international celebrities.
Important Facts
From the Aga Khan to Marshall Montgomery, from Princess Grace of Monaco to Sir Peter Ustinov, the elite of society met at the Park Hotel, owned by the Reuteler family until 1987.

Theo Gerlach took over in 1999 before giving his place in 2003 to Dona Bertarelli, who was attracted to the region and who had great ambitions for the establishment.
New Adventure
After restoring the Grand Hotel Part to the real level of a 5 star hotel with respect to service, Dona Bertarelli has undertaken an initial work plan, completely renovating the Spa in 2006. Four years later, making the 100th anniversary of the hotel, all of its bedrooms and the decor of its restaurants were redesigned making them definitively one of the “classics” of the resort.
